Grid Ceiling

A ceiling system that consists of a grid of metal channels suspended from the overhead structure, into which tiles or panels are fitted to create the ceiling. Commonly used in commercial buildings for ease of access to plumbing and electrical systems overhead. For example, grid ceilings are typical in office buildings for their flexibility and ease of maintenance.
