Landscaping designed specifically for areas susceptible to drought, or for properties where water conservation is a priority. It utilizes drought-resistant plants and reduces or eliminates the need for supplemental water from irrigation. Example: In an effort to conserve water, the homeowner replaced their lush green lawn with xeriscaping, incorporating native plants that require minimal watering.
