Inspection Pit

A pit over which a vehicle is driven to allow access to its underside for inspection and maintenance. Often used in automotive workshops, it can also be a feature in private garages for car enthusiasts. For example, an inspection pit in a residential garage allows a homeowner to perform their own vehicle maintenance.
